New York, 1933. The Prohibition and the Great Depression have turned America into a nation of lonely, broke alcoholics. Five of them decide to make a quick buck through a dodgy life insurance policy.

The price? The life of one homeless Irish immigrant.

The catch? He just won’t die.

While District Attorney Samuel Foley hunts them down, the Murder Trust scrambles to collect on their policy. Who will emerge victorious? And what, after all, is victory…?
